Executive Director, Retail & Consumer Goods (Emiratized)

About the role

The Executive Director for Retail & Consumer Goods will lead the wholesale banking relationship portfolio for large strategic clients in the UAE. The role focuses on driving new business origination, maintaining credit quality, and ensuring high client satisfaction while supervising a team of relationship managers.

Key responsibilities

• Originate and close new banking deals across credit, trade finance, treasury and other product lines.
• Maintain and grow relationships with key decision‑makers in retail and consumer‑goods companies.
• Oversee credit risk assessment, ensure compliance with the bank’s credit policies and monitor portfolio quality.
• Lead, mentor and develop the relationship‑management team to meet revenue and service targets.
• Collaborate with internal product, risk and legal units to structure and approve transactions.
• Prepare and present proposals to the Credit Allocation Committee and manage deal documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related discipline.
• 12+ years of banking experience, including at least 8 years in senior team‑leadership roles.
• Deep knowledge of wholesale or investment banking with exposure to the retail & consumer‑goods sector.
• Strong understanding of credit analysis, trade finance and treasury products.
• Proven ability to manage complex client structures and deliver strategic outcomes.
