F&B Operations Manager - Events Catering & Banqueting

About the role

Viya, the UAE's leading golf and hospitality management group, is looking for an F&B Operations Manager for its Events Food and Beverage department. The post plans and manages catering and banqueting operations across the clubs, working to customer satisfaction and quality of service while meeting or exceeding financial goals. It reports to the Group Food & Beverage Manager and oversees the Restaurant Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare an annual food and beverage business plan and develop operational plans with outlet managers and supervisors
• Set and monitor food and beverage service standards together with senior management and the executive chef, including menus, wine lists and cost control
• Help create food and beverage promotions and event calendars, and build strong relationships with members and guests
• Assist in recruitment and staffing, liaise with HR on recruitment, training and performance issues, and run induction and on-the-job training
• Ensure staff follow dress and hygiene standards and are medically cleared after illness or travel
• Maintain quality, safety and hygiene standards in line with the Quality Policy, club operations manual and Dubai Municipality regulations
• Control costs (food, beverage, labour, supplies) and keep stock levels right
• Monitor financial and operational performance through sales reports, control reports and member feedback
• Represent the department in committees and act as a Fire Marshall or First Aider

Required profile

• Hotel or catering management graduate
• 2-3 years of food and beverage management experience in a five-star hotel or similar establishment
• 5-6 years of food and beverage operational experience with steady career growth, covering restaurant, bar and banqueting
• Good knowledge of international food promotions and wines
• Fluent written and spoken English, computer literate, good administration and creativity skills
