Female Caregiver 3

About the role

Yosh Hospitality is recruiting a Caregiver 3 (female only) for its Housekeeping department in the Hospitality AUH location. The role provides compassionate, person-centred support to individuals with their daily living needs, promoting dignity, independence, wellbeing and safety. Applicants are usually responded to within two weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living activities such as personal care, dressing, grooming, eating and mobility, according to their care plans and preferences.
• Promote independence, choice, dignity, privacy and respect in all aspects of care.
• Build positive, professional relationships with individuals and communicate in a patient, considerate and respectful manner.
• Follow individual care plans and report promptly any changes in health, behaviour or wellbeing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support and encourage participation in suitable activities and social interaction.
• Assist with meals and hydration, following dietary requirements and preferences.
• Support safe movement and mobility using approved techniques and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable and safe environment and report hazards, maintenance concerns or incidents.
• Keep clear, accurate and timely records of care, observations and communications, following confidentiality requirements.
• Work with colleagues, supervisors, families and other professionals to support continuity of care.
• Follow safeguarding, infection prevention and control, health and safety, moving and handling and emergency procedures.
• Attend required training and supervision, and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Required profile

• Previous experience in caregiving, personal care, support work or a similar role is desirable.
• Compassionate, patient and respectful approach to people with differing needs.
• Good communication and listening skills, with understanding of person-centred care, dignity, privacy, safeguarding and confidentiality, or willingness to complete relevant training.
• Ability to follow care plans, instructions and workplace procedures accurately.
• Reliable, responsible and able to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Willingness to undertake training such as safe moving and handling and infection prevention and control.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
