Female Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (UK CCT) - Dubai

About the role

A Dubai employer is seeking an experienced female Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with a strong UK/UK-trained background to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care to women across all stages of life. The ideal candidate has excellent clinical and communication skills, experience within the UK healthcare system and a recognised UK postgraduate qualification such as MRCOG and/or CCT.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level obstetric and gynaecological consultations and manage antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care.
• Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies, conduct deliveries and manage obstetric emergencies.
• Diagnose and treat gynaecological conditions, perform procedures and surgeries within credentialed scope, and counsel on contraception and reproductive health.
• Manage menstrual disorders, fibroids, endometriosis, PCOS and menopausal concerns, and provide preconception counselling and fertility assessment where appropriate.
• Conduct cervical screening and other preventive women's health services, obtain informed consent and maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Work with midwives, nurses, neonatologists and anaesthetists, and take part in clinical governance, audits, quality improvement and continuing professional development.
• Follow DHA regulations, hospital policies and evidence-based clinical guidelines.

Required profile

• MBBS/MBChB or equivalent medical degree.
• MRCOG and/or UK CCT in Obstetrics & Gynaecology preferred; specialist/consultant qualification recognised by DHA.
• Current DHA Consultant license or eligibility for DHA licensing.
• Strong UK clinical experience, preferably within NHS hospitals, and minimum experience appropriate for the DHA Consultant licensing pathway.
• Preferred: UK/NHS consultant or equivalent senior experience, high-risk obstetrics, vaginal and Caesarean deliveries, gynaecological surgery, and experience in a multicultural private healthcare setting.
• Excellent English communication skills.
