Fetal Medicine Specialist

About the role

The hospital is seeking a qualified Fetal Medicine Specialist to deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, both inpatient and outpatient, and to lead maternal‑fetal medicine services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide obstetric and gynecologic health care on inpatient and outpatient bases.
• Perform surgical procedures in the operating room and outpatient department for emergency and planned gynecologic and obstetric conditions.
• Manage the delivery room, including patient admission, history review, planning, and performing spontaneous and operative deliveries while coordinating with midwives.
• Respond promptly to emergency consultations and provide outpatient clinic care as assigned.
• Conduct and interpret ultrasound examinations and fetal heart‑rate monitoring, taking appropriate clinical actions.

Required profile

• Graduation from an approved medical school with internship.
• Three‑year residency in Maternal and Fetal Medicine leading to a postgraduate master’s degree or equivalent fellowship approved by the DOH.
• Minimum five years of exclusive obstetrics and gynecology practice since certification.
• DOH license to practice Maternal and Fetal Medicine and excellent written and oral English; basic medical Arabic is desirable.
