Field Service Engineer – Centrifugal Compressor Specialist

About the role

Atlas Copco is seeking a Field Service Engineer specialized in centrifugal compressors to support growing service demand across the UAE and GCC. You will install, commission, and optimise compressor systems while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Execute installation, commissioning and start‑up of centrifugal compressors and related equipment.
• Configure anti‑surge control, optimise performance using control software, and lead performance testing.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of failures, recommend corrective actions and produce detailed service reports.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance, major overhauls (24K/48K intervals) and emergency repairs.
• Diagnose vibration, surge and performance deviations on‑site and remotely.
• Support system upgrades, including central controller integration and SMARTLINK enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with turbo or centrifugal compressors, preferably Atlas Copco.
• Strong knowledge of compressor theory, performance curves and operating principles.
• Experience with gearbox inspections, bearing assessments, rotor measurements and impeller inspections.
• Proven ability to travel frequently within the UAE and GCC.
