Field Service Engineer II - Sundyne Pumps & Compressors

About the role

Honeywell Technologies is hiring a Field Service Engineer II in Dubai to provide technical support for Sundyne pumps, compressors, controls and rotating equipment in field and factory settings. The role covers installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, customer support, technical reporting and Root Cause Failure Analysis, with extensive domestic and international travel (50% or more).

Key responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to support installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, troubleshooting and rebuilding of Sundyne API and non-API equipment.
• Supervise customer craft personnel and ensure work meets safety and technical standards.
• Prepare field reports, time sheets and travel and expense reports.
• Provide technical expertise on centrifugal pumps, compressors, controls, instrumentation and rotating equipment, and run Root Cause Failure Analysis with internal teams, customers and channel partners.
• Troubleshoot field units using control-system logic and create service cases in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
• Perform independent warranty evaluations and deliver excellent customer service.
• Follow safety regulations, complete job-safety training, and train and mentor junior engineers through quarterly factory courses.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering with at least five years of field experience, or a two-year technical degree with at least three years, or four years of relevant field experience without a degree.
• Previous international travel and field service experience.
• Ability to train and mentor junior engineers, and to work independently and in teams.

Required skills

• Rotating equipment, mechanical seals and PLC knowledge is a plus.
• Process-control equipment, reading P&ID drawings, cause-and-effect diagrams and API seal plans.
• Mechanical drawings, GD&T and CAD software such as AutoCAD, NX or SolidWorks preferred.
• Working knowledge of oil and gas, chemical or related industries preferred.
