Finance & Accounts Manager

About the role

An experienced Finance Manager is sought to lead finance and accounting operations in Dubai. The role covers financial reporting, group reconciliation, MIS reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, audits, team supervision and dispute/refund handling. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in compliance and disputes, UAE accounting standards, VAT filing and corporate tax compliance, and proven proficiency in QuickBooks and financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, and perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Reconcile intercompany transactions monthly and assist with consolidation eliminations
• Prepare MIS reports, actual versus budget and forecast analysis, and financial dashboards and KPIs
• Monitor cash flows, prepare cash-flow forecasts and optimise the timing of payments and collections
• Coordinate annual budgeting and forecasting, and compare actual performance against budgets
• Support internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor queries
• Prepare and submit tax returns, maintain tax records and support UAE corporate tax and VAT compliance
• Supervise the accounting and finance team, set deadlines, train and mentor staff, and ensure segregation of duties
• Manage customer and vendor disputes and refunds, and verify them against policy
• Review and coordinate monthly payroll, reconcile it with accounting records and comply with the UAE Wage Protection System
• Handle bank reconciliations and chargebacks, and manage accounting through the ERP system

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years of UAE accounting and finance experience
• Detail-oriented and able to lead finance operations
