Finance Manager - Africa & Special Projects

About the role

The Finance Manager will oversee financial management, internal controls, and regulatory compliance for African business units and special projects, based in Dubai. This role supports the Offshore Management team and ensures accurate reporting and efficient operations across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate financial management, internal controls, regulatory compliance and timely reporting in line with Group policies.
• Provide financial and operational support to Offshore Management, implementing sound financial decision‑making across Business Units.
• Review contracts for timely invoicing, monitor receivable positions and oversee customer collections, especially high‑risk accounts.
• Allocate operational expenditure, identify cost‑saving opportunities and recommend profitability improvements.
• Support business and finance transformation initiatives, communicating changes to processes, systems and policies.
• Monitor vessel movements, assess financial implications, guide cost allocation and advise Operations on expenditure optimisation.
• Collaborate with Procurement to resolve supplier payments, amend purchase orders and ensure compliance with policies.
• Oversee month‑end closing, accounting adjustments, reconciliations and journal entries for accurate reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly balance‑sheet schedules for African jurisdictions and consolidate for POMO UAE.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, foreign‑exchange exposure and working capital across assigned units.
• Lead fund repatriation, cross‑border cash movements and ensure regulatory and tax compliance.
• Coordinate annual budgets, forecasts, MIS reports and financial performance analysis against targets.
• Oversee tax compliance, filings, audits and recommend tax‑efficient structures in consultation with Group Tax.
