Finance Transformation Manager (ERP & Finance Systems)

About the role

ATOM Technologies is looking for a Finance Transformation Manager to lead the migration of its finance landscape from ATOM FICA, the Billing Engine and SAP ERP to a modern, scalable target architecture. Reporting to the Head of Product & Delivery, the role bridges Finance and Technology, owning the end-to-end transformation from process mapping and design through implementation, training and benefits realisation. It is a hands-on role for a finance professional in a fast-moving, regulated specialty insurance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse as-is finance processes across record-to-report, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, premium accounting, billing, settlement and treasury, and design to-be models that simplify, standardise and automate operations
• Run RFI/RFP processes, evaluate ERP, billing, sub-ledger, reconciliation, tax and reporting solutions, and build business cases, TCO models and implementation roadmaps
• Lead or co-lead finance system implementations, including scoping, configuration, integration, testing, cutover and hypercare, and manage the finance workstream's scope, plan, budget, risks and issues
• Design the chart of accounts, ledgers, cost and profit centre hierarchies, and multi-entity and multi-currency configurations
• Govern data migration, including mapping, cleansing, opening balances and reconciliation, and embed financial controls, segregation of duties and audit trails
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory reporting, UAE VAT and corporate tax, and DIFC/DFSA expectations, and support audits
• Deliver training, user guides and workshops, drive adoption through change management, and set up governance and a continuous improvement backlog after go-live

Required profile

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) or a finance professional with equivalent practical accounting experience
• Proven track record delivering ERP and finance system implementations or migrations, including at least one full lifecycle as lead or senior workstream owner
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems or a related discipline
• At least 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years focused on finance systems implementation or finance transformation

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with SAP (S/4HANA, FI/CO, BTP) and/or comparable ERPs such as Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite or Workday Financials
• As-is and to-be process mapping and design (BPMN or similar)
• Knowledge of billing, sub-ledger, premium accounting or receivables/payables engines, ideally in insurance, MGA, broking or financial services
• Understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, period-end close and statutory reporting
• Agile or hybrid delivery experience; SQL or equivalent data interrogation is a strong plus
• Familiarity with IFRS and insurance accounting concepts is an advantage
