Financial Controller - Manufacturing

About the role

A growing manufacturing operation in Dubai is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to work closely with senior leadership and operational teams. The role helps drive financial performance, strengthen controls and support business decisions during a period of significant growth. The client is a globally established organisation in a technical manufacturing and engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and medium-term financial planning
• Prepare and analyse monthly management reports and monitor budget performance and variances
• Analyse manufacturing costs, inventory valuation and work-in-progress, and investigate cost variances
• Monitor productivity, capacity utilisation, scrap rates and other operational metrics
• Support month-end and year-end closing, accruals, provisions and reconciliations
• Analyse sales performance, margins and operating expenditure, and prepare reporting for regional and group stakeholders
• Support cash flow forecasting, working capital management and capital expenditure tracking
• Assist with VAT, Corporate Tax and regulatory compliance, and support internal and external audits
• Contribute to finance processes, reporting tools, ERP optimisation and reporting automation, and partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement and HR

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling or a related discipline
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Financial Controlling, FP&A or Industrial Finance
• Previous finance or controlling experience in the UAE is essential
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or another industrial environment is highly preferred
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or CMA is desirable

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax
• Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting and financial analysis
• Familiarity with IFRS and internal control frameworks
• Advanced Excel and ERP experience; Power BI or similar reporting tools are beneficial
