Financial Controller – UAE Tax, VAT & Payroll Specialist

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead the UAE tax, VAT, and payroll function while overseeing full‑cycle accounting and financial reporting. This role ensures compliance with Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations, supports audits, and drives accurate financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage UAE Corporate Tax and VAT compliance, filings, reconciliations and reporting.
• Maintain ICV certification documentation and coordinate with auditors, tax consultants and government authorities.
• Oversee full‑cycle accounting: GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Prepare and analyse P&L, balance sheet, cash‑flow and tax statements; support budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis.
• Administer banking relationships, cash‑flow requirements and purchase‑order processes.
• Handle vendor registration, contract review, invoice validation and procurement reporting.
• Process monthly payroll through WPS, manage GPSSA, pension, EOSB, leave encashments and ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law.
• Support finance‑related PRO activities, government submissions and regulatory documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Taxation.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA, ACA) – mandatory.
• 5‑8 years of UAE finance, accounting, taxation and compliance experience.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE Corporate Tax, VAT and UAE Labour Law.
• Experience with ICV certification requirements.
• Proficiency in EmaraTax, Zoho, SAP, Oracle or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
