Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

About the role

Dawam Business Solutions is hiring a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager in Sheikh Zayed, reporting to the Financial Director. The role covers financial modelling, forecasting, budget control, investment oversight and reporting, with a focus on supporting business units and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models using advanced Excel, and create detailed models to support decision-making.
• Manage cash flow by forecasting inflows and providing forecasts to approve outflows.
• Oversee company investments, including short- and long-term strategies, and handle business valuations for new investment opportunities.
• Manage financial risks such as interest, foreign exchange and credit risk, and advise on monetary policy-based strategies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for senior management.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, track expenses and monitor budgets so they are spent in the right direction.
• Understand regional taxation laws, regulations and compliance to ensure proper financial standards.
• Collaborate with departments to gather financial data and support business units.
• Help foster a high-performance culture, develop SMART performance objectives with the line manager and promote the company's core values.

Required profile

• 6 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong understanding of finance principles; at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Professional accounting or finance qualification preferred (e.g., CPA, CFA, CMA).
• Media background is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Arabic, and excellent analytical skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho, SAP or Sage.
• Ability to handle business valuations for new investment opportunities.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles, local laws, tax legislation and social insurance policies.
