Fitness Manager - Abu Dhabi

About the role

Black Pearl is recruiting an experienced, commercially focused Fitness Manager to lead the Fitness Department of a premium sports and wellness facility in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be accountable for team leadership, Personal Training performance, member experience, operational standards and the department's commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic, operational and commercial performance of the Fitness Department.
• Manage Personal Training revenue, penetration, session delivery, consultations, starter sessions, referrals, retention and secondary-spend KPIs.
• Develop annual and monthly business plans, forecasts, performance targets and action plans.
• Recruit, onboard, coach, mentor and retain qualified fitness professionals, and run one-to-one meetings, probation and performance reviews.
• Coach trainers on member engagement, lead generation, consultative selling and client conversion.
• Plan and deliver in-club training, coaching workshops and professional development sessions.
• Prepare departmental budgets, forecasts, commercial reports and resource plans, and analyse performance data.
• Maintain gym-floor presentation, cleanliness, equipment and operational standards, and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Work with Membership Sales, Reception, Marketing, Member Experience and Club Operations, and support fitness challenges, events and corporate-wellness programmes.

Required profile

• Minimum UK Level 2 Fitness Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification, or recognised international equivalent.
• Current UAE REPs registration at Level 3a full, with the ability to maintain it during employment.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
• At least five years of experience in a commercial fitness environment, including at least two years leading, managing or mentoring fitness professionals.
• Proven success in achieving Personal Training revenue and commercial KPIs, and experience recruiting and budgeting.
• Preferred: experience in commercial fitness clubs, premium health clubs, personal training businesses, wellness centres or high-end hospitality fitness operations.
