Florist Team Leader

About the role

The Florist Team Leader will design and maintain high‑quality floral arrangements for public areas, guest rooms and food & beverage outlets at One&Only One Za'abeel. The role blends creativity with operational excellence to ensure the resort’s floral displays are fresh, on‑trend and aligned with the brand’s luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review daily and monthly flower standing orders and requests.
• Touch‑up all floral arrangements across the hotel and guest rooms each day.
• Receive, inspect and report any damaged or spoiled flowers.
• Order flowers, establish replenishment schedules and maintain sufficient stock.
• Stay updated on current floral trends and seasonal decorations.
• Prepare monthly flower expense and cross‑charge reports for finance and executive housekeeping.
• Maintain the flower room and refrigeration units, ensuring proper cleaning, cutting and storage.
• Implement safe work practices and minimise waste while staying within budget.
• Coordinate daily with flower suppliers and verify quality of deliveries.
• Document arrangements with photographs and track guest flower preferences.

Required profile

• Diploma in Hospitality or Floristry (or equivalent qualification).
• Fluency in spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.
• Certificate in Floristry or extensive training in floral design.
• Proven experience creating professional floral displays in a luxury hospitality environment.
