Food & Beverage Service Intern – 6‑Month Internship

About the role

This 6‑month internship offers hands‑on experience in food and beverage service within a leading hotel environment. You will support the team in delivering exceptional dining experiences while learning the operational standards of a world‑class hospitality brand.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Present menus, make recommendations and answer guest queries.
• Take accurate orders and communicate them to the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and ensure tables are properly set and maintained.
• Process payments and handle cash or credit transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist in opening and closing procedures as required.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions and adapt to rotating schedules across sub‑departments.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer‑service orientation.
• Detail‑oriented, able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic math skills for handling bills and payments.
• Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Team player with a collaborative attitude.
