Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer you will act as the technical bridge between Origen’s product teams and customer environments, delivering and operationalising advanced software solutions on‑site or remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical engagements with customers, deploying and configuring production‑grade systems across cloud, hybrid or on‑prem environments.
• Build proof‑of‑concepts, pilots and custom integrations that address specific client requirements.
• Conduct on‑site installations, debugging, environment setup and system optimisation.
• Design integration architectures involving APIs, backend services, data pipelines and frontend components.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops and documentation for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Provide first‑line support, diagnose failures, and improve reliability using log analysis, profiling and observability tools.
• Feed real‑world usage insights back to product teams to influence roadmap and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (Master’s a plus).
• 3–8+ years of experience in software/solutions engineering, full‑stack development or customer‑facing technical roles.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, ownership mentality and excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for deployments, training and support.
