Freight Forwarding Operations Executive (Land & Sea Freight)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarding Operations Executive to lead land and sea freight activities across the Middle East, with a particular focus on trade lanes to Nigeria and Kenya. The role involves managing shipments from origin to destination while ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end freight forwarding operations for land and sea shipments.
• Coordinate import and export shipments across Middle East markets, especially to and from Nigeria and Kenya.
• Liaise with shipping lines, transporters, agents, customs brokers and customers to ensure smooth execution.
• Prepare and review shipping documentation such as Bills of Lading, manifests, invoices, packing lists and customs paperwork.
• Monitor shipment status, provide proactive updates and resolve operational issues.
• Negotiate rates and work closely with carriers, overseas agents and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, industry regulations and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate operational records and generate shipment reports as needed.
• Support business development with market insights on Africa trade lanes.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of freight forwarding experience in land and sea operations.
• Proven track record handling Middle East freight, especially Nigeria and Kenya lanes.
• Strong understanding of customs procedures, shipping documentation and international logistics.
• Ability to coordinate with overseas agents, shipping lines and transport providers.
• Excellent problem‑solving, organizational and communication skills.
• Based in Dubai, UAE.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with freight forwarding or logistics management systems.
