Front Desk Agent – Luxury Hotel

About the role

At Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our guests and visitors is an integral part of our operations. As a Front Desk Agent you will greet arriving guests, settle their accounts at the reception desk, and provide a warm, personal welcome while assisting them throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate Fairmont’s brand service standards in all interactions.
• Provide a warm welcome and fond farewell to guests, assisting them according to brand standards.
• Remain observant and respond promptly to every guest who approaches the reception desk.
• Maintain a perpetual presence on the reception desk throughout the shift.
• Greet guests courteously, using their names whenever possible.
• Follow the hotel’s telephone etiquette standards.
• Adhere to occupational health and safety regulations and Fairmont’s Code of Ethics.
• Drive rate and RevPAR through up‑selling room categories.

Required profile

• Outstanding guest service skills with professional presentation and sophisticated communication.
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written); additional language is a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑changing environment while remaining calm.
• Flexibility in working hours.
• Minimum two years of customer‑service experience.
• Hospitality diploma is an asset.
• Computer literacy in Windows, MS Office Suite, and Opera PMS.
• Accurate cash handling capabilities.
