FS2 Teacher - ASAP Start

About the role

GEMS Metropole School - Al Waha, a British curriculum school in Dubai opened in 2023, is looking for an FS2 teacher to join as soon as possible. The school teaches students from FS1 to Year 11 and has a Sixth Form opening in August 2027. It follows the National Curriculum for England and offers specialist facilities such as a Forest School, a working farm and performing arts and sports facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences that support children's academic, social and emotional development
• Support children's development as they build the foundations for a successful educational journey
• Create a warm, nurturing, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, independence and a love of learning
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities, extracurricular programmes and community engagement

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject, together with a recognised teaching qualification
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and experience teaching in an FS2 or equivalent setting
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and engage young learners
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents

Required skills

• Understanding of early childhood development, assessment and observation, with the ability to identify individual needs
• Ability to plan and deliver play-based learning
