Full-Time Faculty - BCA/B.Tech Computer Engineering

About the role

A university is seeking dynamic, qualified and committed faculty members to teach undergraduate students in the BCA and B.Tech Computer Engineering programmes. The ideal candidate has a strong academic background, a research orientation and a passion for teaching and mentoring students.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and lab sessions for core and elective subjects, and prepare course content, lesson plans and assessments.
• Incorporate modern pedagogy such as flipped classrooms and blended learning.
• Supervise student projects, internships and fieldwork.
• Take part in accreditation processes, contribute to curriculum design and academic planning, and assist in examinations and student evaluations.
• Mentor students for their academic and career growth.
• Conduct research, publish in reputable journals and conferences, and guide undergraduate research and projects.
• Take part in faculty development programmes and workshops.
• Coordinate with industry on guest lectures, MoUs and training, organise student events such as hackathons and coding competitions, and facilitate internships and placements.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Engineering in a specialised area such as AI/ML, data science, cybersecurity, cloud computing or related fields.
• Industry certifications in trending technologies (AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, Google, etc.).

• Programming: Python, Java, C/C++, JavaScript
• Web development: HTML5, CSS3, React, Angular, Node.js
• Databases: MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL
• Data science tools: Pandas, NumPy, Jupyter, Power BI
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud (preferred)
• AI/ML frameworks: TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, OpenCV (desirable)
• Cybersecurity fundamentals and tools; version control with Git, GitHub/GitLab
