Gardener

About the role

The Gardener will maintain the exterior grounds of the Sheraton hotel in Sharjah, ensuring a clean, safe and attractive environment for guests and staff. This full‑time position involves routine lawn care, flower bed upkeep, and general grounds maintenance across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the appearance of lawns, including mowing, edging, raking leaves and other lawn care tasks.
• Water, weed, trim and care for flower beds, baskets and planters.
• Clean, refuel and store all gardening equipment after use.
• Collect and bag trash from exterior bins and keep fountains, planters and other features tidy.
• Inspect and repair sidewalks, driveways, cart paths and parking areas, filling cracks and holes as needed.
• Operate tractors, trucks or utility vehicles to transport tools and supplies.
• Follow company safety policies, report hazards, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a professional uniform and personal appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Less than one year of related landscaping or grounds‑keeping experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, climbing ladders and working on uneven surfaces.
