General Maintenance Technician – Hotel

About the role

We are looking for a proactive General Maintenance Technician to join our team at Rixos Premium Dubai JBR. You will ensure the smooth operation of hotel facilities by performing preventive maintenance, responding to guest requests, and handling emergency repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities and equipment.
• Attend to guest room maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting issues.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and hotel standards.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Report major repairs or equipment failures to the Engineering Supervisor.
• Support energy‑conservation initiatives and keep accurate maintenance records.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical field.
• 1–2 years of experience as a General Technician, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
