General Manager - Commercial Lines (Dubai)

About the role

Braxtone is hiring a General Manager for its Commercial Lines and Property & Casualty (P&C) loss adjusting business in Dubai, based at Jumeirah Lake Towers. The role leads and grows the function, building a strong market presence and delivering high-quality technical claims and loss adjusting services to insurers, reinsurers, brokers and corporate clients. It reports to the CEO.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead the Commercial Lines / P&C loss adjusting function, including its business plan, operating model and growth strategy.
• Develop new business and build relationships with insurers, reinsurers, brokers, corporate clients and other market stakeholders.
• Lead and oversee complex commercial and P&C claims and loss adjusting assignments.
• Ensure technical quality, accuracy, independence and timely delivery of loss adjusting reports.
• Establish claims handling, investigation, reporting and quality-control standards.
• Build and manage a network of technical specialists, surveyors, adjusters and external service providers, and recruit, develop and manage the Commercial Lines team.
• Manage client relationships, service levels, responsiveness and retention.
• Monitor commercial performance, including revenue, pipeline, profitability and operational efficiency.
• Work with other Claims Division functions on cross-selling and business development.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, professional standards and company policies.
• Represent Braxtone at client meetings, industry events and market forums.

Key performance indicators

• Achieve agreed annual revenue and new-business targets for P&C loss adjusting.
• Secure new insurer portfolios and contracts and expand existing accounts.
• Achieve agreed gross margin and profitability targets.
• Retain key accounts and develop repeat and referral business.
• Quality and timeliness of loss-adjusting reports, with minimal justified client complaints or rework.
• Compliance with regulatory, client and internal requirements.
