General Manager – MEP (Electromechanical)

About the role

The General Manager will lead an electromechanical contracting firm, shaping its strategic direction, overseeing project delivery, and driving business growth across the UAE market.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the company’s vision, mission, strategic objectives and annual business plans.
• Identify and pursue growth opportunities in MEP contracting, maintenance contracts and infrastructure projects.
• Oversee planning, execution and delivery of MEP projects, ensuring they meet budget, schedule and quality standards.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, project management, QA/QC, HSE and site teams to optimise resource utilisation.
• Supervise electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire‑fighting and ELV works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and regulations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and government authorities.
• Prepare and manage the annual budget, cash‑flow forecasts and monitor project profitability.
• Identify, assess and mitigate operational, contractual, financial and project risks while ensuring compliance with UAE laws and HSE policies.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in the electromechanical or construction sector.
• Strong track record of managing large‑scale MEP projects from conception to handover.
• Excellent business development and client‑relationship skills.
• Solid financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control and profitability analysis.
• Deep understanding of UAE regulatory, labor and safety requirements.
