MEP Draftsman – Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Drafting

About the role

SEE Engineering is looking for an experienced MEP Draftsman to produce accurate shop, coordination and as‑built drawings for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, design intent and UAE authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare MEP shop drawings for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting and fire alarm systems based on consultant designs.
• Create combined services and clash‑free coordination drawings integrating MEP with architectural and structural elements.
• Develop builder’s work drawings, sections, details and layouts for site execution.
• Update as‑built drawings from site mark‑ups and approved changes.
• Submit drawings for authority approvals (DEWA, Civil Defence, Dubai Municipality) and revise them according to consultant comments and RFIs.
• Coordinate with MEP engineers, site teams and other disciplines to resolve drawing issues and conduct site visits as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Draughting or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an MEP Draftsman in the construction industry.
• Experience on residential, high‑rise, commercial or infrastructure projects, preferably in the UAE.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit MEP and Navisworks is a strong advantage.
• Sound understanding of MEP systems, installation methods and drawing standards.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP design drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with UAE authority drawing and submission requirements.
