General Manager – New Café Concept

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead the opening and ongoing operation of an exciting new café concept in Abu Dhabi. The venue will be part of an established hospitality group, offering a vibrant, high‑quality food and beverage experience with a distinctive atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the pre‑opening and launch, ensuring operational readiness across all areas.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, maintaining high standards of service, food and beverage quality, and guest experience.
• Drive revenue growth, profitability, and overall business performance through effective budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
• Recruit, coach, and develop multicultural front‑ and back‑of‑house teams, fostering a strong culture of hospitality and accountability.
• Maintain a visible presence on the floor, engaging with guests, VIPs, and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Events, HR, Finance, and Procurement to ensure smooth venue operations and successful launch activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a General Manager in a high‑end restaurant, café, lifestyle venue, or premium F&B concept.
• Proven track record of driving revenue, profitability, and operational performance.
• Strong financial knowledge including budgeting, forecasting, labour cost control, and P&L management.
• Experience leading large multicultural teams and delivering high‑end guest experiences.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
