General Technician – Carpenter (Dubai)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our team in Dubai. The role involves maintaining, repairing and constructing wooden structures and fixtures across our facilities, working closely with engineering and maintenance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Execute carpentry tasks according to project specifications, technical drawings and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Perform repairs, installations and modifications of wooden structures, fixtures and furnishings while maintaining high quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and work orders to accurately complete projects.
• Maintain and organise work areas, tools and equipment, ensuring proper storage and inventory management.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on wooden structures to identify potential issues.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to coordinate projects and ensure seamless workflow.
• Adhere to safety protocols, building codes and regulations specific to Dubai.
• Contribute ideas and cost‑saving solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce material waste.

Required profile

• Documented training or certification in carpentry or a related field from a recognised institute.
• Minimum one year of hands‑on carpentry experience in facilities management, hotel engineering or construction.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials and tools.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings, blueprints and specifications with accuracy.
• Understanding of civil construction principles and UAE building standards.
• Physical fitness and stamina for manual labour.
