General Technician

About the role

The General Technician will support the Engineering department at Saadiyat Beach Club by performing day‑to‑day maintenance and repair tasks across all guest‑facing and back‑of‑house areas. This position ensures that facilities operate safely, efficiently, and to the high standards expected by luxury‑focused guests.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, air‑conditioning, lighting, painting, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational breakdowns.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest areas, pools, restaurants, changing rooms, and other beach‑club facilities.
• Support preventive‑maintenance programmes to reduce equipment downtime.
• Report major repair needs and technical issues to the Engineering Supervisor or Team Leader.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Assist with setup and upkeep of beach events, outdoor activities, and special functions as required.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in a hospitality or leisure environment.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow safety procedures.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with other departments and report issues.
