General Technician

About the role

The General Technician is responsible for a wide range of technical support tasks to keep equipment, machinery, and systems operating smoothly within the hotel. The role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair across multiple departments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance on chillers, freezers, split units, AHU, fan coils, cold rooms, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain equipment logs, repair records, and spare‑part inventory.
• Ensure safety protocols and regulatory compliance while working with machinery and tools.
• Assist with installation, calibration, and setup of new equipment and systems.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and resolve technical issues.
• Support training and guidance of junior technicians or apprentices.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and proper storage of tools.
• Communicate with other departments to resolve technical issues affecting service delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience as a General Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work with chillers, freezers, split units, AHU, fan coils, and cold rooms.
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written); additional language is a plus.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, kneel, and use ladders as required.
