Graduate Process Engineer

About the role

Technip Energies is seeking a Graduate Process Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will gain hands‑on experience in designing, analysing and optimising oil & gas, petrochemical and energy process facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare process engineering deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, operating manuals and heat/material balances.
• Perform basic process calculations including material and energy balances, hydraulic, relief valve, line and equipment sizing.
• Develop and support process simulation models using Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus or similar tools.
• Participate in optimisation, debottlenecking, energy efficiency and safety studies, and contribute to HAZID/HAZOP workshops.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and support client/vendor technical discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, Energy or EPC projects.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn, attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.

Required skills

• Knowledge of process engineering principles and calculations.
• Familiarity with Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus or equivalent simulation software.
• Understanding of international engineering standards and codes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, SmartPlant, AVEVA (advantage).
