Head Chef

About the role

Sunset Hospitality Group is seeking a highly creative, commercially minded culinary leader to drive the culinary strategy and kitchen operations for premium nightlife and upscale dining concepts across its portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall culinary strategy, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation and execution.
• Develop creative, commercially viable menus aligned with concept and guest experience.
• Manage pre‑opening activities: kitchen setup, menu testing, recruitment, SOPs, supplier selection and training.
• Own food cost, kitchen P&L, menu engineering, purchasing, inventory and waste management while maintaining quality.
• Build and develop a high‑performing, multicultural culinary brigade for fast‑paced, high‑volume service.
• Collaborate with General Manager, Beverage, Marketing and Entertainment teams on seasonal menus, events and activations.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, HACCP and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as Chef De Cuisine or Head Chef in premium lifestyle, nightlife or high‑volume upscale dining concepts.
• Strong pre‑opening experience in restaurant or lifestyle hospitality concepts.
• Expertise in menu development, menu engineering, food costing and kitchen financial management.
• Creative, trend‑aware with ability to deliver high‑energy, entertainment‑led culinary experiences.
• Track record of recruiting, developing and leading large multicultural culinary teams.
• International experience is a plus.
