Head Hostess – Monkey Bar

About the role

The 25hours Hotel One Central, located near the Museum of the Future in Dubai, is looking for a Head Hostess for its Monkey Bar. The role leads the reception and hostess team, sets standards, manages reservations and table service, and helps drive sales and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Train all reception/hostess team members, assign areas of responsibility, help with performance evaluations and prepare development action plans.
• Post positive comments for all staff and review negative ones with the FOH Manager and Venue Manager; run daily team meetings when the Venue Manager is absent.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly rosters with the Operations team and ensure staff are trained on licensing, health and safety and venue compliance.
• Control stock and par levels of stationery and equipment, and oversee the upkeep of equipment and assets.
• Maximise revenue through up-selling and effective training for events and party night tables, and assist in developing sales strategies.
• Manage the reservation and table management system, the database and reporting templates, and the yearly marketing calendar of events and promotions.
• Build relationships with hotel concierges, track their reservations, run the appreciation programme and attend external networking events.
• Oversee the weekly "What's on" sheet, plan and run group events, parties and festive events, manage guest lists at the door on theme nights and follow up with guests after events.
• Introduce potential clients to the venue.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in food and beverage or hospitality, including hotel or upscale venue operations.
• Proven leadership, mentoring and team development experience.
• Event planning and coordination experience with successful group events and parties.
• Sales and revenue management experience, including upselling.
• Knowledge of hospitality licensing, health and safety and venue compliance.
• Middle East hospitality experience preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with reservation and table management systems.
• Database management and reporting template creation.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
