Head of Contracts and Claims – EPC Infrastructure

About the role

Lead the Group's claims portfolio for EPC infrastructure projects in the UAE, overseeing both price escalation and non‑price escalation claims such as extensions of time, prolongation costs and variations. Prioritize opportunities based on potential value and likelihood of recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead claims preparation and submission, coordinating with project teams, commercial, cost control and other departments to gather evidence and establish contractual entitlement.
• Assess contractual rights and obligations, ensuring compliance with notification requirements, deadlines and procedural obligations.
• Develop and substantiate claim quantum, quantifying financial impact and building defensible claims using project records.
• Lead negotiations with clients as the main representative, devising strategies and driving amicable settlements.
• Engage senior management for high‑value or sensitive claims, recommending escalation strategies and supporting leadership.
• Drive claims through to resolution, maintaining visibility on status, bottlenecks, next steps and recovery timelines.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in contract/claim management in infrastructure.
• 3‑5 years as a Claim Manager in a major infrastructure organization.
• Prior experience in the UAE/GCC market.
• Strong track record of preparing, negotiating and successfully settling complex construction claims.
