Head of Data (FinTech) – Dubai

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing FinTech company in Dubai that is seeking a Head of Data to build and lead its data function as the business scales. This senior leadership role covers the full data landscape, including Data Science, Machine Learning, Data Engineering and Analytics, and is responsible for strategy, team building and technical foundations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead the Data Science, ML, Data Engineering and Analytics functions.
• Define the overall data strategy, architecture and technical roadmap.
• Develop and productionise ML models that directly impact the product and customer experience.
• Build scalable data platforms, pipelines and infrastructure.
• Establish strong analytics, reporting and experimentation capabilities.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering and senior leadership on data‑driven product development.
• Hire, mentor and scale a high‑performing multidisciplinary data team.
• Take ownership of data quality, governance and reliability as the business grows.

Required profile

• Strong technical background across Data Science, Machine Learning and Data Engineering.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary data teams.
• Track record of taking ML/data products from development into production.
• Strong understanding of modern data platforms, architecture and analytics.
• Ideally experience within FinTech, digital banking, payments, lending, credit or financial services.
• Preference for candidates with start‑up or scale‑up experience building a data function from the ground up.
