Head of Department – Arabic (CBSE Curriculum)

About the role

The Indian Academy Dubai is seeking an experienced Head of Department for Arabic to lead the Arabic programme within its CBSE curriculum school. This senior position reports to school leadership and is responsible for driving academic excellence and curriculum alignment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Arabic Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
• Develop and implement curriculum plans that meet UAE Ministry of Education and CBSE requirements.
• Monitor student achievement and drive continuous academic improvement.
• Mentor, coach, and support Arabic teachers through observations, feedback, and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with KHDA, MOE, and school quality standards.
• Promote innovative teaching strategies and integrate technology effectively.
• Collaborate with school leadership to achieve strategic goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Arabic with a recognized teaching qualification (Master's preferred).
• Minimum three years of teaching experience, including at least two years in a leadership role such as HOD or Subject Coordinator.
• Experience in a CBSE curriculum school in the UAE is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Ministry of Education requirements for Arabic.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to raising student achievement and fostering academic excellence.
