Head of Ecommerce - Middle East

About the role

SELECTED is partnering with a leading global brand to appoint its first Head of E-Commerce for the Middle East. This is a build-and-run opportunity: as a founding member of a newly created Direct-to-Consumer department, you will own the brand's own e-commerce site and all marketplace channels across the GCC, with full accountability for sales, profitability and customer experience. The role is based in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver the regional e-commerce strategy, roadmap and P&L for the brand website and marketplaces.
• Lead strategic relationships with key marketplaces such as Noon, Amazon and Namshi, including joint business plans and annual trading terms.
• Drive pricing, promotions, assortment and campaign planning to hit sales, margin and market share targets.
• Own the online customer journey: digital merchandising, content, search, conversion and the platform roadmap, working closely with the global digital team.
• Partner with Marketing on performance marketing, CRM, loyalty, SEO/SEM and first-party data to grow acquisition and retention.
• Set up and manage fulfilment, including 3PL partners, delivery, returns and SLAs.
• Hire, build and lead a high-performing DTC team from the ground up.

Required profile

• 10+ years in e-commerce, digital commerce or omnichannel retail, ideally in apparel, lifestyle, sport goods, footwear, fashion or FMCG.
• Ownership of an e-commerce P&L, with a track record of building or scaling a DTC or online business.
• Hands-on experience managing GCC marketplaces.
• Experience in a multinational with regional responsibilities, working alongside global teams.
• A commercial, hands-on leader who enjoys building something new.

Required skills

• Strong analytical skills (GA4, Power BI or Tableau, advanced Excel).
• Salesforce Commerce Cloud or a similar platform is a plus.
