Head of Operations – Dubai Branch

About the role

The Head of Operations for the Dubai Branch will lead all operational functions, including branch and trade finance operations, technology services, customer support, cash management, regulatory compliance, and security. The role ensures efficient, secure, and compliant processes aligned with Doha Bank policies, CBUAE regulations, and international banking standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for branch operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, regulatory compliance, and service excellence.
• Oversee trade finance activities such as letters of credit, guarantees, and documentary collections.
• Lead technology and digital initiatives, managing IT service delivery, cybersecurity controls, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure full compliance with CBUAE, AML/CFT, KYC, FATCA, CRS and maintain a strong internal control environment.
• Manage financial controls including general ledger, Nostro and suspense account reconciliations, cash and vault management.
• Develop and mentor operational, trade finance, customer service, and technology teams, setting performance objectives and conducting reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, IT, Accounting or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 15‑20 years of banking experience with extensive exposure to branch operations, trade finance, operational risk, and regulatory compliance.
• 8‑10 years in a senior management or leadership role within the UAE banking sector.
• Deep knowledge of UAE banking regulations and CBUAE requirements.
• Proven track record in leading technology implementations, digital transformation, and process automation.
