Head of Primary School (Start Jan 2027)

About the role

Aldar Education seeks an exceptional Head of Primary to provide strategic, educational and operational leadership across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and preparatory years, shaping a coherent journey from the earliest years to senior school.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and preparatory years, shaping a coherent educational journey.
• Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, curriculum and assessment from FS1 to Year 8.
• Lead pupil welfare, safeguarding and inclusion, creating a safe and supportive environment.
• Manage staff performance, professional development, wellbeing and succession planning.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, budgeting, resources and health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Build strong relationships with parents, admissions and the wider community, representing the Primary School at events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) and a leadership qualification (e.g., NPQSL, NPQH, postgraduate diploma or master’s).
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in education, including substantial senior leadership in a Prep, Junior or Primary setting.
• Proven record of school improvement, high teaching standards and strong pupil outcomes.
• Experience with safeguarding, inclusion, curriculum design, assessment and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with British curriculum and, preferably, UAE leadership experience and ADEK requirements.
