Head of Procurement - Group Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

About the role

Al Khayyat Investments (AKI) has launched a new centralized Group Procurement function and is looking for its leader to build it from the ground up. The role sits in Administration & Purchasing in Dubai, reports to the General Manager of Administration & Purchasing, and covers governance, strategic sourcing and cost optimization across the Group. The Group recently implemented Coupa as its Procure-to-Pay platform and is consolidating historical spending, supplier contracts and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and enforce a Group-wide procurement policy, SOPs, approval matrix and controls, eliminating off-system purchases and working with Finance on compliance
• Own Coupa adoption, configuration, reporting and dashboards, and drive user adoption and automation
• Consolidate and classify historical spend, build category-level spend analysis and set an annual sourcing plan
• Lead strategic sourcing, competitive tendering and negotiations for indirect spend such as facilities, outsourced manpower, fleet, logistics, IT, marketing and professional services
• Manage suppliers and contracts, including registration, qualification, performance monitoring, preferred supplier arrangements and catalogues
• Build and lead the procurement team, and work with Finance, IT, Legal and business divisions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance or a related field
• 10-12 years of progressive procurement experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven experience centralizing or transforming procurement in large, diversified organizations
• Strong knowledge of UAE procurement practices and supplier markets
• MCIPS, CPSM or equivalent is advantageous; Arabic-speaking preferred

• Enterprise P2P platforms; hands-on Coupa experience highly preferred
• Leadership, negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills
