Head of Project Management, UAE

About the role

JLL's Project & Development Services (PDS) is looking for a Director, Head of Project Management for the UAE. The role owns the strategic growth, delivery and financial performance of JLL's PMC business in the UAE, combining the strategic plan, team leadership, winning new mandates and running the UAE project management P&L. It is the senior face of PDS to developers, owners, government-related entities and investors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the UAE project management team, build a succession pipeline and run performance reviews and development plans
• Lead PMC bids and proposals, own the pursuit strategy for priority clients and sectors, and convert existing relationships into repeat and expanded mandates
• Own the UAE project management P&L, prepare the annual business plan and three-year outlook, and manage fee proposals, revenue recognition and scope changes
• Provide senior leadership on live PMC mandates, set project governance standards and manage contractual and professional risk
• Represent JLL at industry events, conferences and client forums, and deliver senior presentations to boards and investment committees

Required profile

• Degree in project or construction management or an engineering discipline (civil, mechanical, electrical or equivalent)
• Minimum 8 years' experience in the UAE, with working knowledge of local authority processes, contract forms and market practice
• Demonstrated PMC leadership in the UAE, including senior responsibility for large or complex projects
• Proven record of leading bids and winning work, with strong business development skills
• Desirable: Chartered status or equivalent professional membership (RICS, APM, PMI, CIOB or similar); postgraduate qualification; experience across more than one asset class

• Business and financial acumen, including strategic planning, P&L management, forecasting and budgeting
• Working knowledge of commercial management, claims management, project controls and project governance
• Strong client-facing skills and credibility at senior and board level
• Clear written and verbal communication and confidence in public speaking
