Head of Technology

About the role

We are a leading research, development and innovation organisation in Dubai seeking an experienced Head of Technology to build a future‑ready digital foundation. This senior leadership role carries end‑to‑end responsibility for the organisation’s technology landscape, including infrastructure, applications, data, cybersecurity, AI and emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the overall technology strategy and enterprise architecture.
• Establish the technology function, governance model and operating processes.
• Oversee cloud environments, infrastructure, applications and research technology platforms.
• Lead solution design, integration and architecture across the enterprise.
• Partner with senior leadership to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.
• Drive cybersecurity, data governance and compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, DESC ISR and UAE PDPL.
• Develop data platforms, analytics capabilities and AI‑native solutions such as LLMs, RAG and intelligent automation.
• Manage technology programmes, projects, vendors and strategic partners while building a high‑performing team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of IT experience with 3–5 years in a senior technology leadership role.
• Proven track record building or scaling technology functions in greenfield or evolving environments.
• Strong experience in solution and enterprise architecture across cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and on‑premise environments.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and data protection regulations.
• Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management skills.
