About the role
The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer will safeguard workers on construction sites by enforcing safety standards and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. This role involves proactive hazard identification, safety training, and incident investigation to maintain a safe working environment.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and faulty equipment.
- Lead daily Toolbox Talks and safety briefings before work commences.
- Monitor high‑risk tasks such as working at heights, heavy lifting, and excavation.
- Exercise stop‑work authority to halt any activity presenting a serious safety risk.
- Investigate accidents and near‑misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain comprehensive records of safety audits, training activities, and injury reports for legal compliance.
