Healthcare Assistant – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Healthcare Assistant will work within the clinical environment of Royal Khalifa City Hospital, providing safe and compassionate support to patients under the supervision of registered nursing staff. This role is essential for delivering timely patient care and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist registered or assistant nurses in delivering patient care that meets NMC safety and quality standards.
• Support the escort of patients throughout the clinical setting, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Handle clerical duties such as booking new appointments and updating patient records.
• Transport patient specimens to the laboratory promptly and accurately.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in care processes and report them through the appropriate chain of command.
• Perform any additional duties assigned within the scope of the role and personal ability.

Required profile

• Ability to work under direct supervision of registered nursing staff.
• Strong communication skills and a patient‑focused attitude.
• Organisational capability to manage clerical tasks and specimen transport.
