Healthcare Assistant – Al Foah, Al Ain

About the role

Under the direct supervision of registered nursing staff, the Healthcare Assistant provides safe and timely patient care for adult patients who do not require critical or high‑dependency care. The role focuses on supporting daily living activities, basic clinical observations, and ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Perform manual handling tasks, including patient transfers and mobility support, based on competency.
• Measure and record basic vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, oxygen saturation) as delegated.
• Support patient escort within the clinical setting and assist during therapy sessions.
• Provide assistive care to tracheostomised patients under registered nurse direction.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, stock supplies, and ensure equipment is clean.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and nursing staff, offering emotional support.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and follow established policies.

Required profile

• Ability to work under supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Comfortable assisting adult patients in a non‑critical care environment.
