About the role

Aloft Hotels is hiring a full-time, non-management hostess for its property on East Crescent, The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. The role greets guests, seats them and keeps the dining rooms tidy and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, find out the size of their party and seat them at a clean, available table, pulling out chairs and placing a clean, current menu.
• Guide guests through the dining rooms and help groups with special needs.
• Arrange tables, chairs and settings, make sure place settings are complete and menus are current, clean and wrinkle-free.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and monitor seating availability, service, safety and guest well-being.
• Follow company safety and security policies, report accidents and injuries, complete safety training and certifications, and keep a professional appearance.
• Answer phones with good etiquette, speak clearly and professionally, and build positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Perform other reasonable duties asked by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for long periods and to lift objects of up to 10 pounds.
