Hotel Director

About the role

The Hotel Director will lead all hotel departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences at the 4‑star Occidental Sharjah Grand Hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Engineering, and Human Resources.
• Develop and implement strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts to achieve financial targets.
• Monitor KPIs, market trends, and competitor activities to drive growth.
• Maintain high standards of guest service, quality, and cleanliness, handling feedback promptly.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a high‑performing team while ensuring compliance with regulations and health & safety standards.
• Manage supplier relationships, procurement, and inventory control.
• Represent the hotel in the local community and build stakeholder relationships.
• Implement sustainability initiatives in line with corporate social responsibility policies.
• Report regularly to regional management on performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field; Master's degree a plus.
• 8‑10 years progressive leadership experience in hotel operations, including 3‑5 years as General Manager.
• Proven track record of achieving financial targets and improving guest satisfaction.
• Strong understanding of all hotel departmental functions and interdependencies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic or other languages advantageous.
• In‑depth knowledge of the hospitality market in Sharjah and the UAE is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel management systems (PMS).
• Experience using revenue management software.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
