Housekeeping Attendant

About the role

The Housekeeping Attendant at Avani Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites is responsible for keeping guest rooms and assigned hotel areas clean, comfortable and well presented, in line with the hotel's luxury service standards. The role provides guests with a welcoming environment during their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors and assigned areas to hotel standards
• Make beds, change linens, replace towels and replenish guest amenities and supplies
• Dust, vacuum, mop and sanitize furniture, fixtures, floors and other surfaces
• Ensure rooms are properly arranged and ready for guest arrival
• Attend to guest requests promptly and professionally, respecting their privacy and comfort
• Report maintenance issues, damaged furniture and equipment defects to the Housekeeping Supervisor
• Handle guest belongings carefully and follow lost and found procedures
• Maintain housekeeping trolleys, cleaning equipment and supplies, and follow safe handling and storage of chemicals
• Collect and dispose of waste according to hygiene and environmental standards
• Report room status updates and coordinate with the Housekeeping Supervisor so rooms are ready on time
• Assist with deep cleaning, periodic cleaning and special housekeeping assignments when required
• Keep linen rooms, pantries and storage areas tidy and follow grooming, health, safety, hygiene and security procedures
• Support sustainability initiatives and perform other duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Executive Housekeeper
