Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily housekeeping operations, ensure exceptional cleanliness, and deliver luxury service standards. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you will oversee room readiness, quality inspections, and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, approve, and release guest rooms for arrivals, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Conduct regular quality inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with Mandarin Oriental service standards.
• Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including room status management, maintenance coordination, and inventory control.
• Lead, coach, train, and evaluate the housekeeping team, fostering high performance and professional development.

Required profile

• Senior School qualification; a degree or diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or Business Management is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury 5‑star hotel, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning chemicals, equipment, and inventory management.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Demonstrated leadership, attention to detail, and ability to motivate a diverse team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Actabl/Alice housekeeping management systems.
• Experience with HMS and IBS platforms.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Workday HR system.
