About the role

Canonical is looking for an HPC Software Engineer to join its high‑performance computing team. You will help deliver a seamless HPC experience—from bare‑metal servers to public‑cloud environments—within the Ubuntu platform.

Key responsibilities

Develop Python automation tools for HPC cluster management.
Create and maintain charms that deploy and operate HPC clusters.
Package and distribute HPC software components for Ubuntu.
Collaborate with open‑source communities to improve HPC tooling.

Required profile

Strong background in mathematics or sciences.
Proven experience building high‑quality software.
Familiarity with open‑source development and community collaboration.
Interest in high‑performance computing environments.
